Are the newest designs with the more round top better than the earlier version?

I see they say it gains 4hp but I've heard they can lose power and see no dyno info on the newest can.

I've got a 24 that I want to add a jaws pipe too and was thinking of adding this can because it's quiet and in MN you need a quiet can.

Wasn't sure if anyone had any dyno time with one of the newest versions.

Thanks

If you cant clutch for added HP ( or proclaimed)- then there is no gain, except for being lighter than stock.

Kind of an apples to oranges comparison, but I had a Diamond S Ti flat top can on my Ascender and it is a little quieter than the rounded top ones I've heard on the 858 Catalyst. I really liked my flat top can on the Ascender as it was barely louder than stock and most people didn't even know that it had a can on it. Not sure if the round top one is louder on the Ascender though as I haven't heard one yet.

FWIW, the flat top definitely didn't lose any power on my 8000 Ascender as I was able to pull the same or slightly more RPM with the same clutching.

If they were like the cat Suzuki 800 ones, they had more back pressure which was better at higher elevation. Put it on a flat land sled and it might very well be worse.
