Saw Snowest booth there! Anybody we know from here manning the booth?

But, the only Viper is sight was mine on the sledeck in the parking lot....sad.

How was the show, stingray, what did you see that impressed you the most

Was pretty much the same as last year just less stuff in the swap meet outside. Was not as many new sleds on display either. But I did make a deal on a back up sled I had for a sled in the swap meet so it was worth it.

Yeah the swap meet in Boise was pretty light last year also, thanks for your report, Congrats on your new back up

So it sounds like Yamaha has 4th place all but wrapped up again in 2015 in the mountain market. Way to go Yamaha!!! The recall earlier this year must have really hurt the production schedule of the new sleds., if they did not bring any new MTX sleds to the Denver show.

Of all the places to not be able to show what you have to offer in a mountain market like Denver is truly sad. Although i am sure like the Reno Tahoe area is a polaris/doo town, so is Denver i would have to imagine with an occasional cat thrown in for good measure.

The salt lake city show has been shrinking every year for about 8 years. I am sure it has to do with of the lack of disposable incomes of the public at large. I stopped going when the started loading the arena floor with large trailers so it did not appear there was a lack of aftermarket companies that were willing to rent a booth because of lack of return on the investment. It will come back..... i hope. the first year I attended it was great and the lectures were really good too.

And the hills are finally getting snow. 70 shutdown wilth wrecks, 24 closed around Redcliff.

Getting closer.

Wanna hear something funny? Yesterday after the snow show we drove to Vail Pass and took the road to Redcliff with the truck. Not a trace of snow anywhere...Colorado where it can snow anytime!

Guys I'm moving this to general. The snow show isn't Yamaha specific. I wish I could have been there though. Canada is getting their vipers so I don't see why yami didn't have any there.

Carry on

Is there a post on here for quality pics of all the sleds? Really like to see good shots of McClures and Kincaids..........

Is there a snow show in the Reno/Tahoe area? And there used to be quite a few cats around here until Smalleys closed down.

Was at the snow show as well walked around with my red SW shirt on. Shoulda stopped at the booth and talked but was too busy. Seemed like a good turn out Saturday but I was disappointed with the sales of gear/ accessories. All the booths had the same price on most gear and there wasn't even any discounts on products like I have seen in previous years. Bca avy packs were the same price as online.

Reno / Tahoe. Has always been ski country for the most part so the actual snowmobile community is not all that big. With this small of a market it's tough to sell anything related to snowmobile to top that We loose areas to ride almost every year it seems to the wilderness movement So the closet show is Salt Lake City show. We lost our arctic cat dealer 5-6 years ago in Reno and the Yamaha dealer is also a ski doo dealer and really sucks regardless of what they are selling . The Polaris dealer is not much better but their are a lot of people that are loyal to the brand. We have good riding from. 6000- 10000. But a lot of the riders around the area come up from mid California

Yup, supposed to go right to high pressure for a week or two, so won't last long.

Guess it will be a better snowpack once it finally gets going, but I sure would like to get my break in miles.

That sucks. They haven't been hitting us to hard over here on the 88 side yet but I'm sure it will come since kirkwood was bought by Vail. I was just wondering would've been nice to make it out to one this year since I'm my own employer now. Thanks for the info. If you ever want to ride down here on hwy 88 let me know.
