Ok i was told that if i needed my sale thread updated (sold items removed) all i had to do was get ahold of a moderater so id on 2-18-10 snownight but that add is still up there? why is that? Now i have asked to have another thread updated and i'm wondering if it will be done or not? well will it?

According to his profile, Snow knight has not been on since 2-18.

If you'll shoot that pm to me I will be happy to take care of what you need right now:beer;

Ok sent you a pm but it still sucks that i can not manage my own adds Thanks

Send me the link and I will remove it for you.

Snowest why is it that were not allowed to do so?? please give a real answer if your allowed to.

I have been cruising, reading all the suggestions and complaints. Not once has Christopher answered a question straight up. It's always smoke and mirrors with him, how the heck can anyone put faith and are willing to pay this guy any coin for his lack of services is beyond me. Most of the mods on here are to busy thanking each other than taking care of issues like what Hardass is dealing with. BTW this is not the first post I have read about this issue, but it's still not being dealt with.

You are never going to get a staight up answer with this guy. He has never answered any of my questions I have asked him and I still have yet to see anyone else's questions to be answered. Its funny that even after you paid your dues you still can't edit your own posts. Talk about Controling the Masses. Good luck with this but I doubt you will ever get an answer.

JMO...but people should be able to edit/delete their posts, at least in swap meet. Will save alot of confusion, errors and time/effort for the mods. Would be nice to be able to edit the titles too. If possible?
I agree.
If I could get the software to allow me to do this, I would.

But right now, vBulletin does not support custom edit options. Not by locations, not by user group.

Its all or nothing for everything.

So for the moment, you have a 14 day window where you can Self-Edit any post on the forums.

Too many threats of mass deletions that would effect other posters.

While its all well and good that someone may want to delete "their threads" as an act of vengeance, the system forces ALL posts in the thread to be deleted at the same time when Post #1 is deleted.

The if you started a thread that has a couple hundred replies in it, and you delete your thread, you will also trigger the deletion of every other post in that thread.

Its bad enough when someone starts deleting their own posts in a thread, which tends to destroy the readability and continuity of the discussion, but its even worse when they assume ownership of everyone else's posts and delete them as well.

So we placed a 2 week limit on Self-Editing to preserve the integrity of the threads on the site.

Interesting.

Does the classifieds accessed from the header at the top of the page allow you to do full editing? Can it without having those problems?

doesnt that happen when a mod or admin edits/deletes post as well?I dont see the difference to the thread/post that makes it better when a mod/admin deletes vrs the person who made it....seems like with that thought process that no post should ever be touched then....just curious....

Really?..thats odd cause other forums do have V-bulletin and have it where you can edit/delete..maybe v-bulletin can help you with their software to set it up as you need it?

But because of the 2 week edit time on our posts, he would have to have a way to make an exception to this in JUST that one forum, this is what he is saying is not possible.
