I am new to Cat. been on ski-doo for the past three years. i am lookiong at the following sleds and I can't decide where the best bang for the buck is.

1) 2009 M8 HCR 153 has a can and a goggle holder …900 miles $6200.00
2) 2009 M8 Snow Pro 153 2010 seat, air intake kit 900 miles $6300.00
3) 2008 M8 Snow Pro 153 full slp kit. 09 rails, aftermarket skis, ice scratchers, 2010 power claw, clutch kit 1100 miles $6,000.00
4) 2009 M8 Snow Pro 162 full SLP Kit, boss seat, 1200 miles 7,000.00


Do you go with the year older and more horse power? or the newer technology on the newer sleds? If it was you what would you do and why? I am pulling the trigger on one of these sled within the next few days. Was there a major change between that 08's and the 09"s ????

I'm a DOO guy to, but if it were me I would go with the 09's cause I believe they are the ones with the adjustable bars which kick a$$ IMO

I would go for the 09 over the 08 just because of not having mechanical reverse and 11 lbs. lighter and the design of the rear part of the tunnel.
I would also lean towards the 162" track as I think that the longer track is the better track,well for where I ride anyways.
Whatever one you go with I am sure you will be very happy.

What he said, but get ride of the adjustable handle bars. Like smokindave said the 09 diamond drive is allot better than the 08's that have the mechanical reverse. Just my $0.02

option 2 would be my first choice. Because it's an 09 and a 153. If you wanted the SLP pipe kit you could buy the kit for a good price from a vendor on the forums and still has less money then option 4

Second choice: option 4.


it just depends what track length you want. But the powerclaw is a must!
