it is really quite amazing the difference.

i have been to the snowies a few times and it is a blast. both times were later in the year last week of march and second week of april. snow was good both times but the second time the snow was real hard in sun areas. if you are at all iinterested in hills we found some great ones the last day. they were south of the trail that goes the furthest north on the map. out past the warming hut. it was hard to find a way up there but the snow was great and there were no tracks. one guy in our group broke his leg, but it was just a simple mistake. the snowies are an awesome place to start if you have never been to the mountains.
