dear admin/mods

Would you guys sticky a thread on top of the snowmobile classified forums stating that the OP must put in important details such as price and location of the sled they are trying to sell? Also, what's with everyone emailing pics?
THat's ridiculous. I'll make the post explaining how to post pics here, and all you'd have to do is copy n' paste it and sticky it on top of the forum.

Right now, the classifieds are a junkshow of "email me pics, where are you located, how much are you asking?"...... OP should be required to put that stuff in their initial post. THanks

Damn right admin... and let's not stop there. I think we should require locations on EVERY peep. I want to know where someone lives, so as to not inadvertantly piss off someone that is close to me...:p

Common sense would dictate those with it (common sense) to post the appropriate info.. but I'm not so sure I want more nanny rules in my life

I dunno, if someone doesn't put that kind of information in the post, I take that as not wanting to sell the machine.

Yup, totally relevant.

How can people be so dumb to not include a location or price for their sled?

Also, nobody is going to hand over 5k+ for a used sled they've never even seen a picture of.

I know a lot of people posting sleds for sale don't post much, so they're not going to dive deep in this forum and find the quoted link. It needs to be stickied at the top of each snowmobile classified forums.
Some people are smart enough to include this info, but most, as proven by the majority of posts in there, are not.

I sent this topic/post/thread to the admins a week ago without a response, so that's why I'm posting it here.

C'mon admins, this will only improve your forum, and make it more user friendly.

great idea...and damnit respond to your posts or pms when selling. course I'm guilty of slow response but I will work on it.

on other forums they have stickied at the top a thread where you can share your bad or good experiences about other forum members who you have dealt with in the swapmeet and let other people know a head of time what kind of person they could be dealing with. Personally, i think that would be kinda cool to have it here.

For some it's just a learning curve some have never used the internet much and are still old school just to log on here sometimes takes them a wile let alone get pics up and such. I don't think they should get strict like TTY and other forums and just kick guys off just because they don't have a location in there profile or forget it. Most times I just remind them if they still don't post it up then I write it off and look for someone elses sled.

I do think there needs to be a thread were you can post good and bad reports on things sold and bought on the forum. I know it might get heated and some bashing will go on but in most cases it is well deserved.

The Online

As a newcomer to the forum, I also would appreciate some better rules when searching for a snowmobile to purchase. It is quite confusing for a new member of snowest to figure out all of this!

Some of my friends who own snowmobiles have bought them on “The Online”, but I can’t seem to find it when I google it. Where is this online? A good neighbor down the street has been using “The Online” for buying other snowmobile items and things for quite some time, so it must be local, but I can’t find “The Online” locally either.

Any help would be appreciated as the internet is still “brand new” to most of us.

- also I have a 1972 Mercury snowmobile for sale, email me for pictures and price.
