Dealer won't work on the sled they sold me!

I can't believe this. My dealer told me that they will no longer work on my or anyones 06 700/900 RMKs. What the he!!. I bought the thing there and now they won't work on it because they sold me a piece of sh!t. Is there anything I can do?

Count it as a blessing. I can work on anything on my sled confidently with 2 things. 1 is my service manual. 2 is the help of this forum. It will save you literally hundreds of dollars, and potentially help you fix a sled in the backcountry when you need it the most.

I would get in contact with your local Better Business Bureau or Chamber of Commerce and see if there is anything they can do for you to get you some results.

Aside from that, spend lots of time reading here and between all of us, we should be able to help you with any problem or maintenance concerns you could ever have.:beer;:beer;

First of all report that dealer to the headoffice-polaris or who ever. That should not be tolerated now or ever- if these dealers want to stay in buisness-they better pull it together-specialy these days.

This forum will help you better than any- these people on here are the "BEST"
Many many times they have helped me out.
You will never find a better group.
Thanks goes out to "Snowest" and the forum people.
Ask and you will receive.

I used to think I needed to take my sled to the stealership, but then I found this forum and my sled will never see that place again. I won't even traid it off there I will drive to SD to do that.

Dude, I've paid 4 different dealerships to work on my 900 for me and about the only thing I got out of it was being out roughly $3,000 in labor costs.

If you own one of these sleds, you're on your own ..... heh ....

WOW that is F ed up! But like has been stated if your dealer takes that approach you are better off without them . They obviously never took the time to figure out whats up with these sleds. We are all here and ready to help you and you CAN find way way more info here than at most any dealership you will ever walk into with a few (very few ) exceptions. These sleds are not that bad if you fix the facory problems correctly.I bet $$ that this dealership just fixed the results of the factory problems never the problem itself and now they chit on the customer because they suck at there job. If dealers where smart they would be members of this fourum they could learn a thing or two from us.

Worste part is that the more you wrench on the 900's, the easier they are to work on. They are not the hardest machines to wrench, I'd even go as far to say that a retarded monkey could do most of what needs doing on them. Their techs must be totaly useless. Let me guess, Tractor/ lawn equipment / sled dealer?? Got some highschool drop out/ small engine mechanic that likes Star Trek for a lead tech??:D

Like everyone has said, you dont want them touching your sled anyways. Report them to Polaris and the local BBB, after they call you back wanting to help tell em to f off. This 900 forum has more info in 1 thread than that dealership ever has, read up, search the sticky's and ask questions, you can diagnose and fix everything you need to from this site!
GOOD LUCK

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ YUP! That's actually bang on.

If you are not at all mechanically inclined and don't have any tools then just find any mechanic that you like and have him work on it for you.

These are not that difficult to figure out.... and like it was mentioned before let us know what problems you have and there are a lot knowledgable guys on this forum that are willing to help.

DITTO^^^

where are you located...if you are too uncomfortable working on it yourself, and you are relatively close to one of the "GOOD" dealerships...Tri-City Polaris in Utah, Fabcraft in Montana, Carls Cycle in Idaho, Fastrax in Washington, and Superdave 3's shop in Oregon or in California where MH is....or even somewhat close to where some of 900 owners live..i will bet you money, that ANY of those dealers, or us owners would be more then willing to help you out.

i would even buy a BOLT from a dealership that shunned me...

I'm a retarded monkey then, every damned time I try to do anything to this thing it gets ****ed up.

They're built entirley too cheap and tinny IMO .... I dont know if any other sleds would be any better though.

Especially the electrical system on them.

Guys, thanks for all positive feedback. I have learned a ton from this site, but found it very dissapointing in the dealership to not work on something they sold. I have found a mechanic out here to work on the things I can't do myself. Plus, I just found out the the dealership was just sold and relocated to Aspen Harley Davidson in Glenwood Springs.

Sounds like you got out just in time,to bad they sold ,not sure the BBB can do much anyway. But just ask if you get a problem and maybe we all can save you a headache or two.

Check out Colorado forum

Theres more dialogue concerning this dealer in the Colorado Riding section of the forum. Also, Weekender Sports in Hotchkiss is reputable and close by. :face-icon-small-hap
