Dead Battery?

Battery is fully drained after sitting in my garage for a couple weeks. It’s been pretty cold, garage is not heated. Pull started to load on the deck and have the code UO155 LCD Gauge CommunicationLost. Is this maybe due to the dead battery? I’m charging the battery now. Heading out for 3 days early tomorrow morning! 😳

Was your key off or just kill switch? The dealership told me if you don't turn key off also it will drain your battery.

Is this supposed to be a catalyst thing? Left my key and kill switch on all the time on my ‘20 alpha with estart and it never once was put on a charger or tender or even had the battery disconnected outside of the one time I had to pull the tank, and when I sold it last fall still fired up fine on the original battery. Maybe the g8 has a draw that the old gauge didn’t 🤷‍♂️. guess I’ll find out next time I start mine, it’s been sitting a couple weeks since it doesn’t want to be winter around here.

No idea. They told me that when I picked mine up from factory pinching hand warmer wires. I have never done that either. Just hit kill switch. I started shutting the key off also. Sleds are in heated shop and haven't had trouble.
What i thought was going tou be an epic day turned out to just be alright. Inversion and top of mountain got up to 42. Below zero at house. All our snow, that we waited to get, settled and slick layer on some. Broke my brake handle and got unloaded by a rock. Didn't hurt anything other than my shoulder.

This was indeed the case on four strokes. If you left the key on and shut it down with just the kill switch, there is a relay that stays energized and it cause a 15 miliamp draw.
Not sure if this is the case on the Catalyst though as I usually shut it down with the key. (force of habit from my four stroke days)

Yeah, we finally got a decent storm last weekend then the temps got up to around 60 degrees for the first half of the week so I don’t have high hopes for this weekend unless the little storm that’s supposed to hit tomorrow actually produces something.

My G8 has killed battery a few times randomly. Also seen gauge turn on after being shut off

Yes I left my key on this time. I was wondering if that might be the issue. Just hit the kill switch and forgot about the key.

After messing with the zip ties on the oil lines I fired mine up after sitting a couple weeks and it started right up, but apparently I did shut the key off last time I ran it as it was off when I went out there. Might have to make it a habit to leave it off just to be safe.

Code was from dead battery. Drained my Earthx battery so low, I’m having a tough time getting it charged. Their fancy charger keeps erroring out. I did put it on a trickle charger all night but only got from 2 volts to 5. Had to put the stock battery back in for this three day trip. Going to leave the trickle on it and keep my fingers crossed it comes to life. If not will have to reach out to EarthX it’s a brand new battery.
