darting almost uncontrollably

I just got a 2moto kit on a cr500. I took it out today and it was darting almost uncontrollably, very scary to exact. I softened the rear spring and it helped a lot, but it still darts a lot. Is this normal? Am I just being a pansy? Is there anything else I can do to improve the stability of the bike? Thanks

Trail riding ? I've never met anyone that felt comfortable riding tracked up snow. When I ride trail or groom, I'm constantly on the pipe and leaning back for less weight on the ski. I'd look into ski options as well. It took me a full season to be able and confident to ride with sledders. I surpassed them within short order. Get with single skiers, and get off the trail.

Yes, it was on the trail. When I went in the powder it felt a lot better. Problem is I have to ride these single track trails for 3-5 miles to get to the good riding. This is the only snow bike on this Island. Riding here is not like down in the PNW. No groomed trails at all, rough single track trail is all we have until we get up high enough to get to the alpine. What ski options are out there that would be better?

Lots of guys seem to be switching to Yeti skis.
Might be able to find a TS ski for a good deal.
Timbersled skis with tripple cabides all around work great in the rough trails, but the carbides alone are $300

I agree they're sketchy on super hard pack or ice. But I think the 10" TS ski is more than acceptable handling if there's at least a little snow to bite into. I spend more than my share of time riding trails with my kids and am a relatively new rider. 4x out on the bike now. I'd say it darts a lot less than a sled with single runner skis.
Maybe too much ski pressure? Never tried the 6" Simmons ski mine came with as it has the 10" ski as well.

It is the stock 2moto 6" ski. I will look for another ski for it. Before I softened the rear shock it was crazy, basically no control at all. After I softened it it was much better but still does some weird stuff here and there. Thanks for al the help...

Find a TS or a Yeti ski and give that 6" Simmons ski to a sledding buddy. Those things are just nasty on a bike in less than 6" of snow.

I dont know if the Yeti would work or not. But I do have access to a lathe and a bridgeport so I could make it work. I was not aware that C&A had any options for the snowbike world. I have always liked them on my sleds...
