Wanting to head over and ride what little snow may be found within 5hrs of Elko! Anyone have a ride report/snow depths/pics or videos of this area recently? Or somewhere better around the Salt Lake/Provo area? Never ridden Utah before...

All we have in Utah is just enough for a road ride......anything more you will have to head to southern Colorado or canada.
Thats what ive been hearing... road riding for us here is about 6" on pavement. For a total of maybe 3 miles. All we can do is laps to do what we need with the sleds....break-in,tune,etc.
Want to try to put your "road miles" into context. Saw some pics of a Franklin Basin (where-ever that is), and it looked do-able!

Franklin Basin is up Logan Canyon near Beaver Mountain Ski Resort.. There is enough snow to get off the trail but you have to be willing to take some chances. I've been riding off the trail for 3 weeks now but i've been lucky enough not to have done any damage, can't say the same for others that I know or rode with though. I say its doable but others may say that its not. That's fine by me though, leaves more pow for me!

Thanks Phatty, I'll send ya text, got a PM on here from someone who rode up there as well, might be willing/able to come with us. Gonna hit SMOOT up as well! Looks like theres no need to rush a sled yet... we still have awhile to go before THE REAL riding starts? Looking forward to seeing whatever wrap you come up with!

We rode the Daniels Summit Loop... and blazed trail to the south of the loop where NO-ONE had dared to stray yet.

Wouldn't snowmobiling be PT. It is Physical and it is good therapy mind body and sole, not in that order.
ABSOLUTELY!!!... we were SPENT after those 2 days! EVERY JOINT felt it... in a GOOD WAY!!! Werent even planning on the second day. Called into work that morning and bargained for an extra 12hrs. Had to do the "wake up", 4hr drive back to Elko right into a 16hr work day... went 22hrs before i got into the sack. AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!
