Don's Speed Parts put over 60 D&D Firebreathers on M sleds last winter; and never had anyone comeback asking to have their stock airboxes reinstalled. I'm always doubtful of claimed power increases; but you will pull about 8-9lbs off your sled when you get rid of the stock system and hood insulation.

I had one on my 07 M-1000, it works fine and no you won't go back to stock but the base kept coming loose on me. I had to drill and tap new holes into the bulk head and use locktite to keep the screws from coming loose, the instructed way of installing it uses two wood like screws and they will never hold.

I am going to use a Black Diamond Xtreme intake on my 09, I like it alot better, it installs like the factory intake and also has a spot to mount the ECU.

I have it on my sled and I had to trim the billet piece to fit in my sled. I also was supposed to mount it using two screws that were located in the top two corners of the intake. That would of left the bottom of the intake with a gap. I had to drill extra holes in a nice piece of billet aluminum and grind two corners two make it fit right. Also the filter is so long that when the hood is up it rest on the tip of the filter. After I got it installed correctly it works well. I would definatly choose something else.
