D&D and BDX Build 2009 m1200

fastgas we have not run them with the valves in. I may try to see if the low end is stronger but it runs well without them. There is not any delay or bog like people have mentioned on the small bores. I believe tomorrow I will be able to ride it in deep snow with the A/F gauge working properly. I hope to have it set pretty close by the time I come down. It runs real strong on the logging road but we certainly did not build it to ride on a road.

I ran the power valve delete kit last year in my ported M10.. I think the combination of the porting and power valve delete was too much.. at least I could never get it to work consistently.. I have rode a m8 with the delete kit that has a rkt head and pipe setup.. it pulled smooth and crisp.. you could tell the power valves were out.. it didn't have the low end grunt as much but it hit harder up on top.. kind of like twin pipes... I don't notice they are missing on the 1200

How was your gas consumption with the valves out vs in? Were you mixing gas or were you using pump?

i used pump gas.. on the consumption its hard to say... I don't remember there being much difference from when they were out or in. I do think the ported m10 ate more has than the m12 does..

Great Performance Today!!!

37 miles deep heavy snow. First ride in deep snow and very happy with the sled. Pulls very hard. Ran smooth and strong all day. Spent alot of time getting everyone up to the lake (stuck trucks and sleds) and then one rider hurt knee and one had to be home so had to leave early. It's got great power but man does it use alot of gas. :D

Thanks,
Steve W.

I believe the man Woody from Mount Baker Motor Sports has figured out my thirsty kitty's problem. To much weight in the clutch. Great day today. Deep Deep Deep pow. A little heavy but it will make the base we have all been waiting for. It was nice riding with a hole Pride of Cats.:D:D:D

Nice to meet you on Sunday Robert. Sweet sled you have there. Anyone who wants some more corn from your 1000 this looks like a great way to go. I saw these 2 1200 climb some silly steep and deep. Hope to see you Thursday.

Nice to meet you as well. Thanx for the sled comp's. Your sled is preeettty sweet as well. How do you like the Holtz? Unfortunately I can not make it as I have to go up to Fort St. John tomorrow for a couple of weeks but will be down to ride anytime after that. Hope to ride with you again this season. We will have to stop for some cold ones after next time.:beer;:beer;

Cheers:beer;:beer; Robert

rode today at Bearpaw for the Danny Woods/Sheila Rowe memorial ride. Great turnout of people. Fresh snow hard to see. Sled is a ripper. Let some of the local guys ride it-they likey. We are going to put the powervalves in to try to make the bottom end pull stronger in the tight stuff. A/F numbers suggest leaning out a bit, but seems to not pull as hard when I do that. Overall very happy so far with the package 155 miles on sled. :D
