So for everyone that read the article in last months SW about how to cut fuel costs and skim off your pals. It brings up a good point that seems is on everyones mind. But on the serious side of it how are you guys going to battle the costs? Are you going to make less trips this year? Here is a couple things we are doing but keep in mind we are 500 miles from our riding spot so not all will apply. BTW, I dont think skimming off your pals works out too good as SW suggested.
1. We are going to take less trips but make more days to ride. So instead of 8-10 weekend trips make it 4 or 5 3 day trips.
2. Leave your sleds at the riding area at a friends home and drive a car. We may be the only tools in a TDI VW up there but at least we are still there.
Even if you cant drive a car, the money you will save driving the truck without pulling that big enclosed is a substancial savings.
