Cutler's 1300 Monster Cat Big Bore Kit

doing it right now reeb... should have it done in about a week.

lil fabbing but not too bad.

doing a 1000 with a 3071 in a 06 vanamburg chassis. turbo pipe will be next and then the 1200 stock cylinder or 1300 kit next year... we'll see.

So where's the thread Brock?:D

I just called Cutler's and they are still about a month away from having the first set of cylinders to try and get some performance #'s on.

finally got pics up....

here it is... turned out great and runs even better... got some bugs worked out, hopefully all is well now.

engine and turbo setup have been fine... was a problem with my skid and transfer, bottom out and hit the cooler in the back, dropped the skid down a lil more and seems to be working alot better now.

Wow!! A turbo on a 1300. That has got to be an unbelieve ride. I've got experience with normally aspirated big bore cutler motors and they run strong as is, but with boost!! Does that set up come with a seat belt? Maybe at least some velcro on the seat? How many release forms did you have to sign before being able to ride it? Stuff like this makes me think a lot about possibly a 2nd mortgage on the house... besides you only live once and I've got my whole life to pay for it!!

So this kit is big bore cylinders and you use the stock crank, right? Im interested to see the dyno numbers on this and what transfer area is left with such a large bore. Must work should be interesting for sure. Can you say GT40? I think you can:)

sorry but its not a 1300... its just a 1000.

some in this thread were asking about putting the 1000 into the 05-06 m chassis so i posted it here also.

but you are right... a 1300 turbo would be farkin NUTZ and i'd imagine it'll be done before the end of the year.

questions

so what all is involved in doing a 1000 in a M7 chassis? Is there a weight savings?please say yes I have a M1000 and a couple M5 chassis.Im really interested in doind one

Super old thread.
But I am considering doing a Cutler 1300 kit on both of our old M1000 sleds.
No turbo on it, just a big bore.
Have they performed well and been reliable all these years for people who have them.
Thanks.

Cutler doesn't have kits for sale anymore. They have some pistons and a few other things but no cylinders or heads available anymore.
