Custom 975

Luba... where do you plan on getting the Carls 975 map... they wont sell you just the reflash.... and they dont sell the 975's anymore.

HTG really can't get ecu reflashed very easy anymore-ask BD. My HTG ecu i bought used is screwed up. I may do the same thing BD just did have carls flash it. My only other options are to run my slp ecu and add fuel with my boondocker or run my htg ecu and just pull the plug wires to shut it down or wire a kill switch direct somehow.

I may go with carl's 975 fuel mapping on my HTG 975.

You still might need a fuel controller. If I remember right, the HTG kit is a pump gas kit and the Carl's isn't. So, the ignition timing might be different as well as the fuel map on the Carl's reflash.

Sorry to highjack the thread.

Well Bigdawg is running his HTG 975 on just carl's mapping and he says it running great. Granted his is a 06 and hes not in michigan. I would really like to keep this on pump gas as i trail ride this sled-when on the juice I will add race gas (if I ever get this thing done). I did buy a case of race fuel concentrate that I plan to carry- it is made by the "new" torco company suppose to be good stuff-way better than octane boosters. I would use this to trail ride if needed as I can carry these.

It is my understanding that carls runs more compression and a little more timing. the htg has less compression and most guys were running timing keys with their set ups to get the most hp.

i rode mine for an hour and it ran fine and af was in the 12-13 range and it was pulling hard. i don't think you would need much more than 92-93 octane but that is my opinion. when my 100ll is gone i am going to run 93 premium and watch for det.

i will be watching my af and if i need to change some fuel settings i have the boondocker box to do so.

put it this way my sled is an animal now and runs like a 975 with the htg ecu it ran like a 550 fan and couldn't get out of its own way. take that for what it is worth. but i will be enjoying my carls ecu with the htg 975 kit is it ideal no if i could have gotten the carls kit i would have. you have to do what you have to do.

All done! Got about 700 miles on the whole thing and OMG!! WHAT A SLED!!! Pics coming soon...

I've only ran into one problem. With straight 110 octane Sunoco fuel I am still knocking around 6500rpm. I try not to hold it at constant throttle and it seems to be working just fine...

update coming...

wish nolan would have stuck around, and posted a finsihed product...he doesnt get on much..but i have been hounding him for more pics, lol...

since it went paid here, he isnt on much...
