Updated Snow Conditions

Well, it continued to snow overnight - about 2", but some flurries mixed with sunshine gave us a break to plow the yard's 2 1/2' of snow and head up the mountains to check out the fresh powder. The forecast continues to call for additional snow this weekend of 12" ++, so continue to monitor our snow total reports over the next few days. We'll update conditions as we know them. Next week is shaping up for some excellent riding, so come on out and play!!!

Were headed out tommorow night gonnna spend a few days at ccgr. Any idea on how much snow you guys ended up with? Also I have only been out there once stayed a tog lodge that time though. So would it be a good idea to get a guide or is there plenty of good stuff to find right off the trails?

Although a guide isn't necessary, it is a good idea to go with someone familiar with the area your first time out, especially now with avy conditions present. We have guides available here at Crooked Creek - just let us know when you get here if Nick can help your group out.

We've had over 8" in the last 24 hours here at the lodge - and probably closer to 12" plus on the trails. It snowed most of yesterday, last night and today....mostly a heavy, wet snow, but colder weather is in the forecast for the next couple days, so that snow should set up nicely over the several feet of base & powder already out there.

Excellent conditions today!!

Wow!!! What a beautiful day! You couldn't ask for better conditions....clear blue sky, very little breeze, fresh powder from the snow we received yesterday and perfect temperatures.

We were out here today rode all day the snow was awesome and deep. Nick took us out on a guided adventure had a blast well worth the money! Its a great place to stay food and service is excellent. They have a great staff here as well.

It's looking like mid 20's and sunny for the next few days there is a slight chance of snow on Wednesday and Thursday. It's tough to tell how much we exactly have because of wind. Open hill tops might only be a foot where down in the trees there is 6'+.

Mid-February Update

Snow flurries this morning made us all smile, as did the extended forecast that shows a chance of snow for the next five days. Although model forecasters have been more wrong than right lately, I'd like to think of this as a optimistic sign! Keep doing the "snow dance" with us and we'll see what that'll bring.

Riding conditions are still good in the Union Pass area, with bases of 2 - 4' and powder covered. Sunshine and slightly warmer days lately have compacted snow and made some areas slightly crusted over with sugar-powder below. Trail conditions are excellent, which just aids you in getting to the un-tracked areas you are looking for faster! Our guides are always here to help you find those untouched meadows and playgrounds.

Normally, the President's Day weekend time-frame is one of the best times to enjoy Wyoming snowmobiling....and we're usually booked solid. Weekend Update

Well, it's been a great weekend to be snowmobiling.....light to moderate snow showers all day yesterday, with a few breaks of sunshine today & a few more snow showers, nice temps and very little wind has made for the perfect weekend to be riding. Sure hope everyone has taken the time and gotten a chance to get out and enjoy!!

Valentine's Day has us celebrating with live music from Jug Hollow at 8:30 pm in the Lodge and a special "Surf & Turf" meal for two that'll keep you on the good side of your better half! Be sure to come on over and enjoy both the steak and crab legs!!!

Lastly, there are still a few rooms open for President's Day Weekend....take advantage of that extra long weekend and call now to reserve your cabin! With more snow in the forecast, this upcoming week promises to be awesome. Hope to see you soon.

Snow today

Nice snow fell yesterday (5 + inches in about an hour @ 4pm for sure), plus other snow showers all day long. Riding is great and everyone's enjoying the snow. 50% chances of more snow today and tomorrow. We'll keep you posted!

President's Day Forecast

Beautiful sunshine today.....makes for good riding and great scenic vistas....but this is just the prelude to a good forecast. Snow is expected all President's Day Weekend! Little snows (and some big ones) each day add up in terms of riding conditions and right now, things are getting good.

Come on out this weekend and check it out yourself...there's always room for one more!!
