crank out at 855mi?

hey guys i just bought a 2005 summit 800ho at the beginning of the year with 831mi. i rode it for about an hour and the thing just died on me and the engine turns over very hard and the top end is fine. my first question is what would cause the crank to go that early. next can the speedometer have been changed and the sled really have alot more miles on it and last what are my option as far as fixing it. can i pull the rebuild off myself i have done many topend rebuilds or is it way over my head?

I have done three 800 bombers, its not that hard to get the crank out however I install a reman crank, I dont have the tools or knowage to rebuild the crankshaft it self. Dino

its not that unusual for a crank to go with low miles, ive see new engines sieze between 5 and 50 miles, especially 07 revs. buy a reman crank, and rebuild.

The cranks are packed with greese which might have ran dry. Sometimes the cases might need lineboared or it can take out a good crank from what I have heard. Also the speedo can be unhooked down by the clutch and add no miles. Give the Seadoo Clinic ( I think they are a sponser on here or for sure Dootalk ) a call and talk to Mark the owner who is very knowledgeable and can get you pointed in the right direction
