Today a friend and I went out to the coal leach staging area and found about 1' of fresh snow. Upon our ride in to the wranglers cabin we were up to 2' of snow on the main trails. This was a great day of riding all around. We put on near 70 miles and didn't hit a single thing. Although we stuck mostly to the trails, the base seemed to be shaping up nicely. I feel as though there still needs to be a good 5-6 ft more to be 100% certain that going off the trails will not produce any damages to machines. We did a bit of playing around up at the notch and into the rolling hills and managed to do it without damages but we played with caution. This area is shaping up to be a great early season provided that the weather forecast delivers the snow this week as it says. The snow was somewhat heavy and wet but this will make for a great base hopefully. Happy trails sledheads.
