Snowing on the Coq, Both sides of Merritt. So, that means its on its way maybe a Nov11 ride on the Coq?? I get the Tues off

I've been checking every few days also..its good to see it snow. Lets hope it will stick and pile up.
I rode up there 4 or so times last year and had a blast. There was a ton of snow.
I found the area had a good variety to ride, from a nice trail ride to Tulameen for lunch, to riding up at 10k (beautiful) thru the trees and to watching the other people hill climb at Henning. I'm new again to the sport after a 20+ years and am enjoying it.
Is there other areas further along the road? I've heard other posters mention 22k and I am just wondering what is there.

Ride somewhere..

If you live in the mile check out Yanks Peak at Barkerville. It would be a 300k drive for you but worth it.
Book a room at the Wells Hotel, it cost us 65 bucks last year I think and get out and ride Yanks. The other area is Groundhog up there, but I much prefered Yanks as you are on top of the world. And the snow...well how much do you want. Last year there was a ton, albeit we were there in the month of Feb. And best of all...very few people...maybe saw a total of 8 other sleds on the weekend. Its a great little secret.
I'm going to go again this year for a long weekend, but going to pack a sleigh and snowboard. It has endless possibilites for boarding up there.
As for Wells, spend a night or two there. We had a blast. Do the pub crawl , from the Wells Hotel to the Legion. Say hello to Leah at the Legion for us if you go. Trust me..go..you will enjoy yourself and the experience.

totally hopeing to get out on the 11th to test my first machine I have bought. i was dumb and bought it back in september and i am dying to get out to the coq.
