Cooke City Town Hill Climb

I've seen it climbed about 75 yards to the left of his line twice in good snow like in this video. Problem is that hill is usually pretty low on snow and the dead falls are terrible.

I also know someone who spent a whole evening trying to come down it in low snow conditions. That was ugly.

hahaha.. thats good stuff for sure.. seen a guy make it about 1/4 the way up before he pilled it on some dead fall.. think :beer; was to blame

How much money did the guy lose? That hill is weak, but for sure watch where your skis are.

ya, it does, but i would find a knarlier hill to bet someone on :D I like screwing around on it while the others are getting ready in the morning or while they load their sleds before me :D

Anyone that climbs that hill ever worry about your sled ghost riding down and running into someones house at the bottom. That's the main reason I never tried it! I look up at it every time i'm there but never pull the trigger on it!! Later

I'm betting it won't make it through the trees... there is a pretty thick band of trees between the hill and the houses.

Say the sled made it through the trees and hit a house/cabin. Would insurance cover? What if someone didn't have insurance? Could someone press charges? Just wondering how the after accident stuff would go down... How embarrassing of a walk down would that be to your totaled sled!!! LOL

The line I took threw the band of trees is really thick, If the sled comes down gost rider it is so F***ed it would never make it to the homes. that area drifts pretty good also and with all the dead falls it makes it harder than it look on vidio...

Gotta love it Dmon,
Its all the flat-landers who are saying how bad a$$ that hill looks! HAHA (it is a landmine hill early season though)

Are any of you guys thinking about running in the shoot-out this New Years?

Regards to the New Years Hill Climb we sure are planning on having it!

We didn't run it last year because you couldn't see your hand in front of your face little own try to race someone.

I'm a flatlander, want to ride sometime! Lets see if you can shake me off your tail.:beer;

I was there too. We all met up at the cabin on Round and then decided not to run. And rightfully so, there wasnt any way to tell what was going on at the top of the hill from the start line. The year before the weather cooperated much better.

007, I would love to ride with you guys this winter! I'm not saying Im any better than you flat-landers, haha thought that might get a rise. But seriously, we ride down there several times a year and let me know when youre on the way. I'll buy ya'll a beer in the Minors

If all goes well I should be out there more often this year. Cant wait till snow flies and we can start layin down some tracks instead of just talking smack about it!:D

I'm always up for a free cold one:beer;
