snow was decent, about 10-12" fresh on top and where it wasnt tracked last weekend it was 2 to 2 1/2 feet powder..the XP's ran great again today but i did pull a outer string out of my belt at 115 miles so i changed it out .. did some 300 to 400 feet pulls in the powder and it was holding 8150 to 8250 rpms..tracked snow it would hit 8350-8400 rpms,,rode about 50 miles today.had the new 163x with us and it ran real good ,,no problelm..did a little comparing on the way out and the 154x pulls like a freight train..had the clickers in 2 on cooke pass at 8000 feet and it smokes the grandsons[ 80# ]06 x any way you run it...the dragon [700] stock,,would outrun all our 06 and 07 doo's on top end,,NOT the 08x they pull away and keep on pulling..i know i'm comparing the dragon to a 800 x but thats all we have and the dragon always beat our older doo's top end..they always run strong on top.the 06 x was a stator problem and it worked fine with the new one installed..here are a few pics today..

Awesome TA, u lukcy we got about 2 inches of snow here north of chicago and now freezing rain. LOTS OF IT I HERE!!

I haven't rode at Cooke for a couple years now I might have to give it a try when sno-tel gets up to 80" . I keep hitting rocks there. HV

If you are hitting over 8100 rpm on the tach, you are losing ALOT! of performance, thought you might want to know. ;)

i know that it is suppose to run 8100 but i'm telling you when that thing is hitting 8300 on the road at over 80 mph and pulling super hard its tough to beleive it would doo better at 8100..i ran it in clicker 2 at 9500 feet and it pulled 7950-8050 and it didnt feel as good as it does at 8300--maybe its me but it just doesnt seem to pull as hard

What matters is what your rpm is pulling under load either deep snow or climbing or both i was running just a stink under 8000 rpm at 8K to 10K in elevations today and the sled was running very strong with just 90 miles on it......i was thinking of dropping some pin weight to gain some R's but i think im going to wait till i get another 150 miles on the sled to give it a chance to loosen up.....As Slim said peak HP is 8100 R's any thing over that and the numbers drop off fast furious according to HPS's dyno numbers.

Slim 1/2 of eastern idaho's sledders were at Tog today did you get in on the fun ?
