convert older timbersled lt/mh to 5.5 rail spacing?

Looking at upgrading my MH/LT track and i had another brain fart idea. I was looking at it and i dont see any reason I could not get a Yeti 137 track and narrow it down to 5.5 rail spacing? Looks like there is just enough room to do it. The rear you would have to cut off the gussets and re weld them toward the inside but looks like easy mod? Not sure where the driver cogs are on yeti track but sliding drivers over is easy? Am i missing anything here? I have a lath so cutting down and re threading the shafts is easy.

You make any progress on this? I am thinking the same thing. I don’t see any issues either.

Can someone check the driver position on the 5 inch axle? It looks like they have to use the extroverts through the windows because there isn't 2 rows of knobs to drive on

I talked with Toby at Ricky mountain. He assured me the track had 2 sets of knobs to drive off and it would work. I have not ordered track yet as I have a couple other projects I am on now but want to revisit in a couple weeks. My only concern is financial!! I will put 1000 buck into older timber sled and once you narrow it down you can’t go back. Upon further inspection it looks easier then I thought originally , rear sizzor arm is steel on mine so don’t even need to weld aluminum, cut it down and turn gusset in and reels them up or fab something. Looks easy.

Bringing this back.
Did anyone find for sure that the first gen narrow rail yeti tracks have the outside drive lugs? The new ones for sure are not there at all. Is the 23 ts models extro drivers compatible with the new yeti? I think the 3 inch is a different pitch but I would be doing a yeti 120 so it should still be 2.86 extrovert?
Please don't say just buy a new kit. I build my own from scratch for proper geometry so that's not an option.

The TS 3" tracks are a 3" pitch, so they won't work with the yeti track.
