Convert 3 inch track to 2.6 or 2.75

Looking for some information on changing the 163 - 3 inch track to a 2.6 or 2.75. What would need to be changed or has anybody else done this on a boost that came with the 3 inch 163 track? I would assume drivers since it's a 3 pitch but didn't know if I'm missing anything else.

Thanks in advance!

Just drivers, except I'm thinking you'll want extroverts and anti-stab with the 2.75.

First year 2.75 was normal drivers and had ratcheting issues without perfect track tension, so if Polaris thought it necessary I'd add it (obviously they only thought it necessary to quit getting complaints, but it's something).

What about the track don’t you like?

After running the 2.75 and the 3.0 I would take the 3.0 over the 2.75 any day.

We switched a 2.75 out to a 3” X3 on a Boost.
It stomped my 2.75 the rest of the season, also got on edge quicker.
We had multiple people ride it, that had 2.75’s, and they commented how quick it got on edge.

kinda depends on the type of snow you ride on and how much trail riding to get to the good stuff as well.

This beauty [emoji41] just showed up, can’t wait to give it a run . Think I might have to disinfect it first but should be an animal !

Awesome ! I’ll probably do the same for my boost . I wasn’t a fan of the 2.75 on my n/a last season, a few guys were running the doo track up here last season said it’s night day difference on the boost

Yep just didn’t want to cut it. Nothing wrong with that though . After shipping up here and the cut pretty damn close to the same price .

yep I wanted the short rods for less weight in theory.
(Makes for a clean cut)

All in cost was $1345.00

Also this is a dual durometer track.

I've cut a few myself and the $100 that tracksusa charges is a bargain.

have you weighed that track?

(They claim a 165 300lx with 16" wide is 55 lbs.)

I agree it’s a bargain for $100.

I haven’t weighed it but it’s pretty light. I was actually pretty surprised when I picked it up yesterday. I’ll get it on my scale before I put it on.

Update it’s 55lbs on my scale with the wrapping still on.

Only difference to the one you have is the 3 gashes brp puts in them. Just a 15” one that the new Lynx comes with.

I was just north of you by $40 [emoji6]

Don’t run high speed trail with that slotted track porting.

Or skidoo tracks in general.

Saw way too much of this over the last few years.

Delaminate and lose center lugs.
