Control Box Question

Anybody make a fuel controller that works off the A\F ratio. Seems like it would solve a lot of problems, or just simplify things, to have a box that compensates on the fly to a preset A\F ratio. A decent fuel map and a box set to 12.5 and you'd be done.

Just doing a little boost research for this summers project.

They have systems in the automotive world that will self tune but it is more to get a decent starting map, to get the most out of the vehicle you will need to do majority your self.

With leaded fuel it would be a pain with the AF sensors taking a dump from time to time.

the good stuff is just starting for the efi 4stroke sleds with the dynaport boxes & now the rapid bike 3 box they are the way to go totally tunable fuel & timing curves once mapped on the dyno they will do the rest on the hill.the mcx box is the most auto pilot like box out there just plug it in & it does all the rest it adjust for altitude & boost pressure & fuel map.

closed loop EFI

I agree....this is the answer to all woes!
I wonder what the Arctic Cat Jaguar Z1 uses for factory setup, its the only closed loop efi system made.
BTW the AC turbo Z1 should be interesting to see next year.

There are guys that are looking into the use of a closed loop fuel system, he said they are very expensive but would be completely self compensating like a car. I think some guys have the knowledge and resources to pull it off. My sled runs so crisp and clean now with the Rapid Bike Box, its hardly worth trying anything different. :)

yes i remember the guys talking about the closed loop systems on ty big $ like 2500$-3500$ & then you have to know how to program them cool but only for the extreme tuner.
