I just want to confirm that this site officially sucks now! Where has everyone moved to? I feel extremely sorry for all who are now paying for it. If everyone decided to not pay then it would still be free. Something to think about!!!

I call it "The 10% Majority" who are now "Premium Members"
R.I.P. SW.
Something else to think about....maybe by making it a pay site, we could weed out the rif-raf?
About the same percentage of registered sleds in the state that belong to a club.
Do what ya think is "right" and sled-on!
Its too bad the "rif-raf" has to be most of the actual contributing members that made this site what it was... Ah well, at least you paying guys will have your little sorority club to pretend your special... lol
Most of us that paid did so not to be "special" but just because we had no objection to paying $10 a year for entertainment and information. I'm a relatively new sledder and this site has been a treasure trove of information. I also participate in 3 other free snowmobiling forums. When the deal changed here where you had to pay to have full access, I paid. It's not personal against those that have not paid, and I don't feel like I'm "better" than you. I just wanted full access. And it really bugs me when a few people here attack those of us who paid as though somehow we're the enemy. We're not- it's not our site and it wasn't our rule change. I'd have loved if SW had stayed free for full access but it didn't. Attacking people like me is pointless and also unfair.
Do you vote for Democrats?
8-]
Ah- nice change of topic.
However...the answer is no. I have never voted for a democrat in my life. And I vote in every election, even the primaries, because I think it's a privilege and responsibility to vote. I lean right of center on most issues. I own guns, a copy of the Constitution, and a Bible. I heard the current administration considers me to be a terrorist.
You want to talk about the price of corn in China now, or can we return to the topic and agree that just because I paid and you didn't, doesn't mean either of us should be insulting one another on that basis alone? How 'bout it?
isnt sled idaho a saws rep?i cant see his sig anymore.oh well, guess its not important.[/QUOT
Yeah, it really isnt important at all there junior. We had perhaps one of the best meeting places for SAWS & BRC here at SW. All that is gone forever, scattered to the wind, one of the little byproducts of this little spastic $erk-off. Being one of the underclass now even though I have donated 50 bucks a time or two, I've had to clean out many contacts on my message board due to the 100 limit.
I've been here since the very first SW forum and we've had hours upon hours of land use, political discussion and volenteer outtings which has HAD to have an impact on whats left for us to ride on. I wonder just how active the volenteer segment of SW will be in the future? Is the new Boy wonder even aware of the politics of riding a snowmobile on public lands?
If anyone important at SW is listening to this mess. The official SW word for the malcontents is....dont let the door hit your arse on the way out. Really? If I were in business and I had lost the numbers the SW is losing I'd be very concerned. So far it's all been about the level of expertise that SW has lost....it goes much further than THAT.
If anyone here did any clean-up or volenteer work for snowmobiling because of what they read here please chime in!

SW was a "treasure trove of information" due to the many members who contributed to this forum. Now that they are being pinned against the wall and being told to "Pay up or leave" the information will suffer. $10 a year is not the issue, the issue is being told that we have to pay to be a part of a forum that exchanges OUR ideas, OUR guidance, OUR information is wrong! I currently have 6 snowmobiles, registered in Illinois , carrying trail stickers for Wi, Mi, and Co. I have almost $100 per sled x 6 just in registration per year, so the $10 is not the issue. I came to SW looking for riding areas out west, tuning help, and parts through the swap meet. It was fun follolwing the stories from the Colorado guys, and meeting up with them when I went out there year after year. I liked browsing the pictures of the areas I ride in, and seeing the conditions of the areas that I was going to before I got there. All of that is gone unless I "Pay up".
I guess SW needs to edit content automatically, then override it with a Super Moderator's changes - Oh well over to the Darkside.
