condolences

I was there at the time of the incident.
As far as helping there were plenty of people helping and I did not want to get in the way but I did ride up to see if there was anything I could do.
I didn't feel as if I could be of any assistance at the scene so I went to the east side of the area and helped move machines out of the way for the helicopter to land.
We decided that you guys had plenty of help so we made our way down the trail.
We did run into the FS guys and pointed them in the right direction and helped one of them get unstuck and made sure he made it up the hill.
This incident really shook me up... We called it a day and went home.
I have said a few prayes and will continue to pray for you and your family.
I don't know you guys but it still hit home...:brokenheart: I have more of an apreciation for how delicate life can be.
If there is anything I can do to help let me know.
I have no e-mail, but feel free to call if you need or want to talk.
Sincerely
Mike Keller 801 721-3622

you are awesome

I got some inspiration today when I was thinking about all this. I think everyone in the family who are riders should go back to that spot on the anniversary every year and have a memorial moment to reflect and remember what Larry was all about. Then go ride together the rest of the day and enjoy each others company. See you at the funeral.

Thanks to all

I am posting to this forum for Connie Burch, Larry's wife. She would like to thank you for the kind words and consideration that you have expressed here in this forum and some in person.

"Today we paid our respects to Larry in a funeral held in Ogden. The attendance was overwhelming. There have been many kind jestures and acts that have given comfort to me and my family.

I know that Larry would be moved to know of the care and concern that the sledding community has shown.

I am comforted when I read your kind words. God bless you all."

I spoke with one of larrys friends last night, Greg.
Very nice guy.
Glad they found larry's helmet!
Please let me know if you guys have a service up on the hill next week, I will do all I can to be there.
I think someone should make a plaque that we can put on one of the trees near the area... I'm not good at making stuff like that, but I think it would be a good idea.
We did something similar in the area where my friend was killed in an avalanche.
We do an anual ride and go to the spot to remember him.

I hate to say, but i do know what you are going thru. we lost our father last fall. Every day hurts. some just worse than others. Reading these post does bring tears to my eyes. rip.
