condolences

Our prayers go out to the Burch family of northern Utah who lost their father to a heart attack while sledding with his sons in the franklin basin area of logan canyon. He was only 54 and died doing what he loved most, playing with his kids. Travel well Larry.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family:heart:
I was there and saw the whole thing... It really shook me up.
Seemed like such a harmless accident.
I kept running it through my head trying to figure out what happened.
Him having a heart attack at least answers some questions... I just couldn't figure out how he could have gotten hurt.
Sad deal all the way around.
This weekend has been a tough one for me even though I didn't know the victim.
I felt like I had lost one of my own family members.
Rest in Peace Larry.

The Burch family will be in my prayers, and I will say a special prayer for his son.

I often wonder about the physical condition I/we are all in. I would bet 7 out of 10 peeps just work on putting there sleds in tip top shape than jump on and ride without reflection on our own bodies and the shape we are in. I am guilty of this. We all need to stay in the best condition possible. Our families need all of us here.

My condolences to your family.

Sorry for your loss. I could not put into words how I'd feel in your situation.

Life is very short and precious!! One of my youngest cousins lost his wife today from brain aneurism at a very young age as reminder of this.

Number one fear I have riding with my dad, he had 2 in one year seven years ago...
RIP, prayers are sent to the family. :(

I was there at the time of the incident.
As far as helping there were plenty of people helping and I did not want to get in the way but I did ride up to see if there was anything I could do.
I didn't feel as if I could be of any assistance at the scene so I went to the east side of the area and helped move machines out of the way for the helicopter to land.
We decided that you guys had plenty of help so we made our way down the trail.
We did run into the FS guys and pointed them in the right direction and helped one of them get unstuck and made sure he made it up the hill.
This incident really shook me up... We called it a day and went home.
I have said a few prayes and will continue to pray for you and your family.
I don't know you guys but it still hit home...:brokenheart: I have more of an apreciation for how delicate life can be.
If there is anything I can do to help let me know.
I have no e-mail, but feel free to call if you need or want to talk.
Sincerely
Mike Keller 801 721-3622

Larry was like a dad to me, we spent every new years together for the past ten years along with many other hunting and snowmobiling trips. He was one of the greatest men i ever knew. Sledding in island park will never be the same but i know he would be devastated if we didn't keep on doing what he loved, so we will and he will always be in our hearts, we love ya and miss ya.
