Hey Ben,

Good pics. Thanks. We're thinking about heading out for a second time this year sometime in March. I always love riding with Bob Record in the back country, just doesn't get any better than that.

First try out with the helmet cams. Also first shot at putting clips together so its kind of rough but will get better with some practice.

at tog wed next. What's the deal on a guide? Does everyone pay or one price for the group? How much? Do you really get away from the trail into gooood pow?

rmk,

If you stay on the package plan, the guide is included at no charge. You also get breakfast, dinner and social hour free. I would highly recommend getting a guide. We've ridden with Bob Record ( head guide ) the past three years and he will definitely get you into plenty of un-tracked powder. He's been guiding/riding out there for over twenty years and knows those mountains like the back of his hand. Hope this helps....

Don't need no damb package, got own sleds , cabin to cook in and drink in thou we usually go to bar just to help the place make a buck but can we just get aguide? and how much?

You can get a guide seperately
It's been a couple years, but I wanna say we paid about $50 for the day. well worth it IMO, it beats being at the bottom of some deep ravine because we didn't know where we were going

rmk,

You should probably check the price for the damb ( I spell it damn ) package, it's pretty much the same price with everything included and I believe the guide fee is more like $200 a day without the package. You can ride your own sled. They don't make you rent a sled from them. Just trying to help you out. Take it as that please.

It use to be on their website, but I cant find it now. But if i remember correctly a guide booked by a group NOT on the package is something like 40-50bucks/person/day....Part of the reason why it the package is usually the way to go. Besides the fact that you know Im flying cross country and not bring supplies to cook my own food or drink my own beer...

To guide or not to guide....

We are headed out in 10 days. As I understand it, sled rentals and the package include guide fee. We have 2 renting and 2 others not. The 2 not renting can join the guided group for $60/day/sled. I am not sure how big the groups are but they group you based on your experience and what you like to ride - based on a phone conversation.

So I guess bottom line - $60/day/sled you can join a guided group - at least that is my understanding. Guess we will find out shortly. Hope that helps.

Firecat,

You realize that Bob's not stuck in that picture, he's just re-aligning his sled. :):beer;:)

Boobie got fired last month:eek:

WHAT are you sure I know a guy thats going to be riding with him this week?:eek:

Firecat,

He did get fired. Talked to him after it happened. We've enjoyed riding with Bob for the past three years and staying at the lodge. We all decided that we will not go back to the lodge again if he isn't working there. Sounds like he's looking into other options as he still wants to guide out there.

Go team ring-ding....:beer;
