Compression test results - 05 M7

Had a friend who was having issues with a 07 m-8 and found the same piece of plastic in his reed cage, just one side.

The only thing that we could think of is the hole that is cut in the intake on the hood.

I'm with 007 on the source of the plastic. There is a rubber plug for that hole in the intake...is the piece you found rubber by chance?

Nope, this is a hard plastic. The rubber plug is still in place.

But is the plastic the same type of plastic as the intake maybe when it was punched out it went into the air intake, is it the same size as the hole were the intake bolts to the hood.

Crank/rod bearings are good. Runout was 15 thou on the PTO side, 8 thou on the mag. It's getting tweaked and should be ready tomorrow. I'll get some pics of the cylinders/pistons and you guys can see what I'm working with.

Crank is done. Cylinders are exchanged for good ones. The guys @ Millenium figure that it was a piss poor nikasil job. Go figure?

Pistons/gaskets are all ordered. Should be here next week. Maybe ready for some turf pulls next weekend
