Last Polaris sled I had was a 2001 151 Edge 800 non-VES twin that was running CPI twin pipes, LPI billet heads, stock 40mm carbs w/ATACC, carbon reeds, and mild porting- you know, mostly stock setup.
Last couple seasons I have spent a lot of time on a Cat Crossfire-700 with MBRP can & intake mods done to it. C7 rips pretty good, but doesn't have the down low oomph my Polaris 800 had. Chassis is nice though, a step ahead of the Edge for sure.
Been eyeballing up something 2007 or newer to get into the IQ chassis. How does the new 700CFI engine stack up to the previous generation Polaris twins? Does the new chassis really help hide the lack of outright power? Am I going to have to dump big $$$ into pipes, heads, etc. right off the start?
