Coming to Jackson for Hillclimbs? We really need your help!

The Forest Service will be hosting a public workshop on Thursday, March 27 in Jackson at the Jackson Hole High School (1910 W High School Rd.) from 6pm to 9:30pm.
The meeting is a "scenario development" workshop and is part of the forest plan revision which is underway in the Bridger Teton NF.
If you ride Togwotee, Wyoming Range, Brooks Lake, CDST or almost anywhere in western Wyoming- this plan revision is going to impact your riding area!
This workshop is scheduled right as the Snowdevils are in the middle of hillclimbs and it makes it very difficult for them to bring as many folks as they otherwise could so we are encouraging anyone who may be in town for the hillclimbs to take a little time on Thursday evening (or Wednesday at a similar workshop in Alpine) to help drive home the point that we are not willing to give up our riding areas.
Please take a few minutes to stop and voice your thoughts.
More information is available on the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association website at www.snowmobilewyoming.org
Thanks!
Jeff Moberg WSSA VP

Is there some sort of petition of some sort that we could sign through email or something like this because I can't make it up there at that time but would like to help?

Petitions and mass emails are usesless. The FS will look at them and treat them as one vote, we learned that the hard way here in MT with the Gallatin National Forest Travel Plan. Each individual needs to respond with a distinct personal reply. Be very specific about the places you ride. Historical use was the only way the Big Sky Snowmobile Trail was kept open, proving that it had been used by snowmobilers for longer than 25 yrs. So send your letters and emails, tell them not to change the current travel plan, just make them original.

Please Help

Please help in any way you can. It only takes a few hours to let them know how we feel. If you can't make it get on to the WSSA website and find out who you can write a letter to so the Forest Service knows how you feel. The only way we can stop them from shutting our areas down is to fight in numbers.

advertising!

Thanks for the info! If i do end up going to the hillclimbs i will go for sure. This might have already been planned but i would suggest signs or some sort of advertising at the base of the hill! Personally i would go for something with serious shock value like "western wyoming riding areas will become smaller! go to the forest service meeting March 27th right here in jackson and make a difference" I think you might get better numbers at the meeting. just my .02
