Coming Soon 860 Turbo Kit

Well the factory skid lasted one trip back in 08, when with the holz shock upgrade, was better then factory, but still couldnt take the beating. When with the nextech setup, work well and save lots of weight with the factory springs gone. Now with the toms setup, the sled is amazing on the trail, for the guys who like to snocross up and down. Just set pressures for weight and riding style. In the climbs it holds the skis on the snow. I only rode it under boost and love it, 15psi still can keep the skis down. The only difference is im running a float 2 for the front shock in the skid. Its the factory shock on the mtn nytro in the skid. I am 230 in street clothes, with 70psi in the front skid shock, and main chamber on the rear im 170 and 135 in the evo chamber. Works well for me. For guys no so aggressive, been putting on the nextech setup with 170psi for guys at the same weight, works well. I run it on my 154 back up sled. Hope the info helps. Be testing the 860 turbo tommorow if my parcel shows up with parts. Dam shippers....lol

How are you liking the Toms skid? Did you ride the turbo with the stock skid? Difference? Does it still wheelie or hold the front down? Have you tried Bakers skid?

Sorry, yes i have tried the racer edge set-up, (i think thats the same as baker). Only tried it on a factory sled with minor mods, seems to work well, just looks heavy with the big coil spring. Really cant say much, didnt have much time on it. Racer edge stuff is always nice quality tho.

We did our part! LOL

Trevors 860 is going to rock just like the others that are out there. The cool thing that trevor has done is built his 860 for a TP turbo. With lowerd port timing this Sled will make a statement!!! All i want to see is the vids on the big chute climbing at the BIS!! Oh Yeah don't forget to video the bystandards with their jaws on the ground when a little XP shows them how the cow eats the cabbage. YaHOOOOO!!!!

What are the odds that the port timing isn't a secret??? I have an idea what you guys are doing just not the specs.

Thanks for the info on the skid. Racers Edge is Baker and tons of guys run that skid in turbo sleds, it holds the front end down nicely. I need to do something with mine for climbing as it wants to come over backwards but it is much better with some drop brackets and a scissor relocate and sucking up the limiter. These turbo xp's are a blast.

Ya!! Lets here about the T860. Does it live?
Or was that other guy right? You can not turbo an 860!!

HAHAHA, yes is alive. Just one ride breaking in the motor. Will be in valemount this weekend with it. But so far, all i can say it has way more bottom end. Havent turn the boost up yet, hard no to, but want the motor to breakin right! Will post more after the weekend.

I have trouble believing You!!! I read that YOU CAN NOT TURBO THE 860.

Nice work.. Good to see there is some guys out there that can make things work for the Doos.

Impossible no... easy definetely not. You need someone to build the motor that knows turbos and motors VERY well.

Well, anybody that says you cannot turbo an 860 is an idiot, its old news.. have had one for over 3 years. And lowered port timing.. .well thats how it runs so good. It will eat a stock apex with 14psi of boost!:face-icon-small-coo I dont think I can beat DC Turbo's apex, seen him run up the hill... can't beat a nice setup 4-stroke, but it will hang with them! Had mine WOT at 9psi for over a minute at a time, and havent ever burn't it down. Just get the fueling right.

Thats why Turbo Al built this motor 4years ago.. Call him up.. he will know exactly what sled your talking about. And as soon as you mention this sled, he will just chuckle and say... ya that is one runnin unit, nobody thought it was possible. Piston and head design is how it is possible.

Well the 860 tubro rips..... The jetting was very close to the 800t, throttle respond improved, way more torque in the bottom and mid range. The snow conditons was 3-4 feet of fresh, but at 9-10psi the sled wheelies over the top of anything you point it at. Next trip will be cranking the boost to do some big chutes. One thing i found with the 860t doesnt seem to get so heat soaked, so you can to longer pulls. Was only running 11.8 to 12.5 on a/r so it was supper safe, and fuel ecomony seems to be close to the 800t. For guy that have turbo kits and want to upgrade for next season, definty would be worth the upgrade. cast dual ring pistons with a better head design for cooling. Clutching is easy just add weight. 10psi pulls 26grams on clicker #2 with DJ mtn ramps. So the 860 turbo can be done and plain rips.
