Sledheads,

Me and the guys are looking for some advice for riding and lodging in CO. Our favorite spot to ride has been Togwotee. A friend of ours was let go there last season and is no longer guiding. We are looking for a change of scenery. Of course Burant does his riding near Kremling. How is the riding in that area? Also, can you name some guiding services.

Thanks,
Pal

Great riding near Kremmling/Walden/Steamboat area. Don't know of any BC guides except Burandt. Give a hollar and I'm sure one of us locals will show you around when the time comes. If you can ride decent they may even get you back to the lot in one piece!

I live here in Kremmling and there is some great riding on Rabbit Ears Pass/Buffalo pass, North of Steamboat and a few other places that I like to visit. I ride with Bushy alot during the season and he is a great guy to ride with and BS with after a ride (although his taste in beer is a tad bitter;);))
I have been studying the maps in and around Grand lake and have been thinking of riding there a couple of times to see if the terrain is suitable and challenging enough to enjoy. I do know that the area has a lot of AVY danger.

I am working on obtaining my license to guide legally in the State of Colorado. I am also working on getting the local hotels here to work with me on discounted rates.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Doesn't keep everyone from drinking it though! lol Trippel is my fav..7.8% and I just found it here in Boise :D Good luck with the venture Ralph. I imagine the license is the cheap part of the guiding deal. Insurance has to be a big expense for that kind of operation??

Don't know. Still working on it.
