Coil Over VS Torsion

This tread sure makes us wonder about POO's market research. Sure seems there is a very significant market for a lightweight 144/146 sled with narrow front and 2" paddles. I traded my 09 Assault in for the Pro RMK because the Assualt didn't meet my expectations. It was too heavy and unruly in the trees for me. Is the concern that the 15 X 146 won't compete with DOO's 16 X 146 and it takes 15 X 155 to equal the same footprint? I would give up that extra inch just to have POO's balance. Unfortunately, I'm left with the 155 Pro RMK and evaluate how much better it is than my 08 D7 155. One or the other could get shortened to a 146 in the end.

I agree. I'm leaning towards the switchback though. I want all the goodies on the RMK like running boards and stuff, but I'd be willing to bet that someone (betterboards) will come up with a fix for the switchback boards. Also if the torsion suspension is the biggest hold-up they already make a coil over style suspension for the 144" skid in there right now that you can upgrade to. Skis are also an easy fix. I'm slowly convincing myself that the switchback is the way to go!

Who makes the upgrade?

I was thinking of the Mountain Tamer skid fit kit. That is made for the same 144" assuming they didn't change any of the torque arms and things from 2010 to 2011, I would think it would bolt right in!

i was in the same boat as you guys. i found my 155 dragon to long for my riding style so i wanted a 144. there was pro's and cons to the 2011. so my resolution was to save $3000.00 and buy a 2010 800 rmk 144. now i have some extra money to upgrade shocks and do some other stuff.
