Code 84 and 42 together?

I have 84 and 42 flashing on my gauge. I have the sensor itself hooked up but don't have the little gear on the driveshaft as I was not going to go to the work of making it work right now. Also I tightened up the throttle cable as well.

So I guess here is the question. Can I fool the computer over the speed sensor and what do I need to do to make the tors not go crazy. Also can they be related? In a quick search I found someone saying that the speed senso can throw the the "84" code also.

42 wont hurt you its the speed sensor not sensing speed yes you need the gear. 84 is the throttel over ride system machine will start but wont let your rev very high and it is from your tightening your throttle cable. Alot of people bypass it and run a teather.
