CNC PORTED NYTRO HEAD

We run Impulse spec CP pistons, no head shim, 9:2 compression, we run at sea level.

Our Raptor we ran 11:1, 24psi at seal level on E85

Holy crap that is awesome you can run that much boost and compression at sea level on E85! Wonder what you could do at high elevation? Does Paul have any interest in E85 for us snowmobilers? Is E85 a more powerfull/better fuel then race fuel?

Well the pros to E85 are....

Cheaper than race fuel
Cools the motor better
Can run a wider a/f ratio while still making power

Cons...

We use up to 30-40% more fuel than gas, so mileage goes way down
Hard starting in cold weather
Some motors/fuel systems may require bigger or additional injectors/fuel pump
Dosnt smell as good as race fuel :D

In race applications or summer weather its a great fuel to use. Cold starting and fuel mileage becomes an issue with snowmobiles. I dont really see it being worth it on the average person sled to be honest.

On our drag quad the cooling affect helps a lot in 100 degree weather and the fact its 3 bucks a gallon compared to q16 at 16 bucks a gallon makes it a good choice.

Thank you for the info very interesting

Been testing the Nytro cylinder head all summer and is running great! Apex head will be ready in a few weeks also!

Have about 20 of these heads out there and all customers are very happy, more hp, quicker spool up and the valve train is holding up to higher RPM of the N/A guys and those who are running bigger cams!
