i have been reading, calling dealers and trying to figure out this clutch problem for days now. The machine hooks up great at full rpm and i am getting about 7900 rpm in clicker 1. My sled over revs at low speed (trail). at about 6000 rpm and 30-40km in clicker 1. Because of this the belt is being chewed up-cords are showing after 10 hrs. the primary has a shiny spot 1 inch wide about 3/4 of the way up where you can tell it is not engaging the belt. From what i am reading the sled needs a gear change anyway so i was going to go from the stock 21 to 20. I have no idea what to start for adding set screw pin weight. From what i have put together it sounds like about 25 mm (3.18 grams). If i don't do a gear change and leave the stock gearing at 21/45 i guess i could start with the 16mm (2.35 grams)pin inserts. Does this sound about right? attached is a pic of my primary.
