Clutch weights for 08 assault

There are so many other factors involved (type of riding, rider weight, etc). But...I ride with 59's because I ride all the way up to 12k+. I would 'guess' that you are about in 62, maybe 64 gram territory there. Your dealer should have set you up though. Stock works fairly well and probably better than the other brands stock setup.

If you put a full SLP pipe kit on, call them or shoot them an email and tell them what you have and your rider weight and style and they should be able to help you out.

I had the full SLP pipe kit on my 09 assault 800 and ran 68g MTX weights with no rivets at 8000-10000... felt a bit sluggish but I had the 2.4" track and the snow was pretty heavy so that all probably played a part...

on mine i tried both 62g belly busters and 68g mtx with no rivits. i Like the mtx cause the belt to sheave tolorance was waaaay better than the belly buster. i have slp pipe as well and was running 6-9000' and pulling 8200

I would certainly call SLP. I know they will have a setup for you.

I would guess that you need a 62 gram Polaris weight. The belly buster and MTX weights will require more weight but that is because they are loaded different.
