I think that puller is probably bad... you should consider getting a new one...

I've always just tightened up the puller. Then hit the puller with a sledge hammer a few times. then tighten some more and repeat. I've never had an issue, even with primary's that haven't been removed for 10 years.

uhm who calls that a clutch puller? lol looks cheap to me, what you want is a HARDENED steel puller,
but i can tell you this, always use the water trick if you have not taken your clutch off all winter... ALWAYS, its much easier and safe....
also aside from that, what probably saved your *** was the water pressure and the heat.... if you had water in that, and got it hot enough to maybe boil a bit it might of did the trick,
but hell, good thing its out!![]()
id bet when you tried to put water in it and use teflon tape you didnt get a good seal on it. also remember to buy the best puller you can, those cheaper ones break like dry twigs
