PS dont let spike teach you how to ride, you bust yourself and your sled up that kid dont mess around![]()
He is hell on wheels isn't he.. The older I get the more it hurts.. Spike has not put on enough years to garner that wisdom. If he keeps going he'll have more titanium in his body that the Terminator..At least he does his damage going big.. The old man does his damage by riding into tress and such.. LOL It's quite sad really.. Here's one were the old man ran head on into a vertical wall and ended up going over the handle bars.. Talk about an abrupt stop! Mike was there to witness the whole thing as well.
Sad isn't itOnce mighty now well...let's just say we keep an eye on him..

Hey, I need a little more help.
When I put the primary back on is there anything I need to do as far as aligning the clutches? I think that only applies to the secondary?? Should I put a bit of blue loctite on the bolts? Just put it on and go?
Mike, you need to get him on some video...
I have more pictures I could post.. be nice![]()

Just bolt it back on Doug. No loctite! Make sure the end of the crank is good and clean. If it is rusty and rough, hit it with some VERY FINE sandpaper to clean it up. Glad to hear you got it taken care of.

Should have asked, there isn't any torque spec's on the crank bolt is there? Just tighten it down good and snug and call it good?
The cranks is as clean and smooth as a baby's butt so we are good to go there!
Thanks, no more pictures to post for now.![]()

I does believe 68 ft pounds........lemme go check ma book!Of course there is a torque spec! Don't ask me what it is on your Kitty though. Basically about as tight as you can get it with a 1/2" rachet within reason. Then check it again after you have a few miles on it.

You're not gonna find that spec in your book of doo-doo!!!
Shhhhhhhh
I have a garage full of AC books n tools
50 to 55 ft pounds!!!
What he means is torque it to 50lbs, run it around your yard three times counter clockwise, then torque it to 55lbs.
Okay counter clockwise is optional, but really, 50lbs, run it, 55lbs, done.
double checked the manual just to be sure, definitely counter clockwise, helps set the spring.
