Clear Gas Tank???

Can anyone help me with finding a clear gas tank? I am looking for one that fits a 2002 Polaris RMK 800. I have tried searching the internet but have not had any luck coming accross one. Thanks

Isn't there some link between natural light breaking down the chemical composition of the gasoline? I thought that was always the reason for solid color tanks. Racers use clear tanks to quickly guage the fuel level accurately.

If by "clear" you mean white just go to a polaris dealer and get one.They came stock on some rmk's.It is clear enough that you can see the level of your fuel,thats why I got one.

I don't know about the fuel but I know a guy who tends to leave his out and the sunlight breaks down the fuel line and it ends up plugging stuff up. But then again most people I know either keep them inside or under cover .

smashed mine up a few years ago and had a choice of black or white(clear) from the dealer. A little spendy to buy, but what isn't anymore?

Stem, check out www.trailtank.net. He just finished the tank for the IQ's. He makes a clear and a black tank with added capacity. Also the trail tank clear uses a new process and material that will not fade or turn yellow over time. I do not have pictures yet but pm you email and I will try to get some or just email trail tank directly. I have seen them in person and they look awesome.
