Cleaning aluminium

Anyone have tips on cleaning cast aluminum under the hood of a sled. The cast on my kids pro is stained and has a white residue on it. I've tried brake clean , citrus cleaner, varsol, but can't get it. Does the sledbrite aluma keen work?

Depending on what the residue is, I would guess an acid based cleaner would be your best bet. Something like an aluminum mag cleaner for wheels. I've used the Eagle One Mag Cleaner on some chassis parts before and had good luck. I would just be careful with the application so that you don't apply it to a surface that could get damaged.
