Chrysler dealers being shut down.

How about kicking out the UAW and knock down some costs that way??

EXACTLY!!

My neighbor is pro union and we were arguing the other day bout this and I told him that 4000.00 of every unit produced costs were to pay retiring employee union benefits. That is EVERY unit made. He also was boasting bout how the "union broke Goodyear".......WTF??? they didnt break them...they just now reside in Mexico. So much for your local phawkin jobs! Some peeps are just ignorant.

This might sound kind of cold, but those dealer ships stuck with the inventory will be selling them really cheap, so right now might be a good time to buy. They will probably be marked down to what the dealers stock them for, to bad for all the guys who are losing thier jobs. MM.

I'm waiting to hear back from dodge on my particular issue. The dealer here on Maui is on the list to close, and since its the only one I'm a little concerned about where I'm going to have to take my pickup for warranty work.

They dug their own grave, now it's time for them to lay in it. It is downright stupid how many dealers were built in areas, I can count 12 within a 30 minute drive JUST for Dodge. WTF?! Why do you need dealers within pretty much walking distance of each other.

Good deals for sure, they have gouged enough people over the years, time to get it back. Not one ounce of sadness for them. I only wish some of my local dealers were closing, like the one I bought my truck from, but I guess if they closed, I couldn't continue my lawsuit again them

Actually didn't see one Canadian dealership on the list....

having several dealers within a reasonable driving distance keeps prices low through competition.....after this bit of unpleasantness settles out, what kind of a deal do you expect to get on a new truck in a year or two?.....i can guarantee it won't be as good as what many have come to expect.....and one thing for certain, having to drive an extra 15 miles one way to get my dodge serviced, compared to 5-7 minutes for either ford or gmc, well maybe dodge didn't think this through as well as they thought.....'cause instead of lining the pockets of a dodge dealer that doesn't have to deal anymore, maybe my business will go to ford......sometimes these large companies get so involved in their internal problem solving, they forget the customer has the choice of buying outside their problem....so by dumping my dealer of choice because they are piqued at them, they are not forcing me to another dealer, but to another brand.....:(

Having 9 dealers within a 30 minute drive is plenty for me, and still enough to go to another if one doesn't please me. They will still have to deal the same. I mean they are only closing less then 1/4 of the dealers in the USA that's not very many. If you base your buying decision on a dealer being a whole 5 minutes farther drive, your buying decision can't be to informed.

I drive Dodge always have and couldn't careless how many dealers close, I will have my current truck for atleast another 10 years and almost never need to go to the dealer for stuff. Let them close for all I care. Like I said in the other post, almost all dealers dug their own grave, let them lay in it!
