I wonder if they specified altitude, big difference between sea level and 12000 feet. I will play with mine, I bet I can easily run 87 octane at 6000'. A stock 800 edge has at least 20 to 25 more pounds of compression and will run 89 octane at 6000' with no problems. To many people get stuck on the (run more octane it will run better) theory. I can see not running right on the edge of detonation, but why waste money on more expensive gas and have a slower sled to boot.
