Challenger Extreme vs Powder-Max HELP!!

I have a 08 800 154 Xp with the Challenger Lite (Junk) and am going to upgrade to either an 154 2.3" Camo Powder-max or a 155 2.5" Challenger Extreme. Any comments on which is working better in "powder" conditions of Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho?

I just rode my sled today with a 15 wide 156x2.5 camo extreme, and LOVE IT!! The Snowies had a foot of pow on a 3-4 feet base and this track hooks up like crazy! Get the extreme for sure. I'm sure it won't "excell" in the pure pow, but it has the exact layout as the stock track, save for the porting that doo does, so it can't be worse.

put a 155 2.5 2.86 pitch 16 wide track on my 154
just put in and go
Rode valemount 2 weeks ago worked very well
got it from tracks canada
20 tooth top and dynamo kit

FYI, There are two differant Challenger Extreme tracks, I have the 156X16x2.5 from Tracks USA and works very well, I will never switch from this one!Tips bend back and is fully clipped which I removed every other one,Sitting here is a Chllenger extreme from Western Power Sports and its Not the same track at all.The paddles are stiff as ever, Dont bend at all, the paddles have an angle in them with a small reinforcement in the front,I assume those who say they trench have this one,Buyer beware not apples /apples!

I just finished putting the new cat track on my XP with a Fab Craft suspension. Ditched the stock doo 154 for the cat power claw 162. I hope this track as good as all the reports. We are getting dumped on so I'll know in a couple days.

What are Camoplasts numbers on these? As far as I know the difference between the Extreme's is the size and pitch.

Based on the WPS catalog that I have and Tracks USA website, they should both be 9975's. The number should be molded into track on both. As far as I know, Camoplast only makes one track in that pitch, length, lug height. Please let me know if what you are seeing is different.

Dont have the # as sled is gone now. We looked at both side by side and all I can tell you is one had straight flexible lugs and the other was a very hard compound with an angle back with reinforcement piece in the front of the lug,If you get a good photo from the Western Power Sports Cat, you can actually see it. One was a 15 wide and perhaps that size is a differant track?? but they call it the" Challenger Extreme".. The Tracks USA has softer tips and does not trench,In deep bottomless it will lift the skis on the throttle where the stock track will just spin, They are not as fast across a lake and loose about 5 mph if thats what your into

Thanks for the info. I ordered the 9102 from Tracks USA. (16 by 155 2.5 2.86 pitch) It sounds like I made a good decision. It sounds like some of you might be getting the challenge lite confused with the challenger extreme. Maybe WPS is selling the challenger lite and calling it the challenger extreme. I know Ski-doo calls there tracks different names than Camoplast does.

No Not getting mixed up with Challenger Lite as I have one of those here as well. Your safe with the Tracks USA track. I will be very suprized if the new Cat track will do as well. I have one of those here to look at as well,It is more of a combination between a Challenger and a maverick.Should be better on hard pact I,ll give you that
