Chain case questions.

ah so when in forward position the forks should be in the groove of that bottom gear? Then when placed into reverse the forks are pushed down and out of the groove?

That make sense? I don think the forks where going into the groove properly but after 3 attempts and not 100% sure on how it was supposed to go I gave up.

No, the forks will never come out of the groove. Once you get the forks in the groove they stay in and thats what works that bottom gear ahead and back for reverse. Tough for me to explain in words how it actually works.

Amen! I have tried to figure out how to explain the process for hours... words can't really explain it.

It's just kinda.... uhhmmmm... MAGIC!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I know I would right a paragraph then just erase it cause I couldn't even tell what I was talking about!

When I finally got that MOFO to go back together. Since I have the suspension out I cant test it just yet. Getting that fork to line up in the groove is not easy by any means. I dont see how using a mirror would have help because right before you are about to line the groove up the case has to slide forward enough that all you can see is the chain.

Anyway hope this helps future chain changers :face-icon-small-blu
