hey guys the cel is on on my rev i just bought it took it for my first ride yesterday it ran great all day they at the end of the day i shut it off and now it runs like crap. the cel flashed and on my odometer screen is will say -11 or -22 and just keeps flashing - random number and it seams like its running on 1 cylinder but its not both sides are getting fuel and spark anyone know what this might be ?
cel light on and blinking sled will not run right

ok just went out to the shop and looked at the odometer screen and it right when the sled starts it says 9-9 and when your on the gas it will say -011- and the number will keep changing with rpm and its super gutless the sled is a 2007 xrs 800

nodealer fee for them not dooing anything.
a local shop charged me $600.00 to rebuild the carbs on my triumph Dayton that i bought from them and actually didnt do any thing.was told put a fresh tank of gas in it and ride it.blowing black smoke(rich)took it back and the shop manager finaly admitted he didnt doo any thing to management.then he rebuilt them and runs well.

I would assume the xrs still has the tether? On my 07 X Everyonce in awhile it looses its connection with that and I have to wiggle it then it runs fine but if you dont do it then it just sputters and wont rev past 3 grand
yep it has a tether and i am aware of the problem it deffinatly was not that. i had br9es in the sled so i changed them out to br9ecs plugs and found out the spark plug cap was mangled on the inside so i replaced that . i put it up on the stand in my shop and let it warm up and reved it up it runs fine now but the check engine light is still flashing . i guess il going to have to take a drive up the mountain and take it for a rip in the snow and see how it runs?
