Carls Cycle Clutch Kits/Service for the new PRO-RMK's

i bought the clutch kit from carls set for 3 to 6ft and i love it....very consistent, also i have the pa head 13.1:1. on a hard and long pull i was pulling at about 8150 to 8200 and never faded on me, clutch face was pretty warm but wasn't smoking hot compare to my stock clutch set up...really pleased with this set up. also im running stock gearing too.

Anyone else running this setup, opinions, observations?

Come on F-Bomb......

Carl's clutch kit

I have there kit for 3-5k

Works great super smooth up and downshifting. 47-50mph track speed in the deep.

Nice and smooth engagement on the low end also

Has anyone compared this setup to stock?

I am not completely sold on all these clutch kits that are offered..... I need to hear of some real comparisons, not just (because I purchased one its got to be better)

Murph I only run MY setup on my absolute and known application. (and now about thirty other guys across the world that sought my advice on the PRO that is setup like mine)

Carl's neither advocates the track trim nor the aftermarket head that I use for their normal everyday customer base. While my sled is a Carl's sled and they are MY SHOP this particular information does not apply to me.

I will tell you SnoWesters this: NO other shop on the planet puts as much R and D into their product line nor has the experience and expertise that Carl's offers on this application. This industry is wrought with inexperience and BS but you get none of that with Carl's. Their ownership and KEY employees RIDE THESE SLEDS DAILY and as whole are easily the leading source for accurate information and positive results in performance.

"RIDE" pure performance mountain snowmobilers not part time or ride because you have to for business people...hardcore enthusiasts first...sales people second. It shows in their results of performance and massive high end consumer base across the snowmobile world...not just Boise or SW Idaho.

There is much to be gained from tuning your clutches. Certainly one wants a performance improvement but saving just one belt will almost pay for a "Kit" if one chooses to go that way. You could always do it yourself. There is lots of info on SnoWest on clutching. I choose the DIY because of local conditions.
