Carl's cycle 900 pro

Took my 11 pro with a Carl's cycle 900 BB out for a short ride today at home (only a few inches of snow) man is it ever snappy. No burbles, bogs or anything. I really think this will just be a pull the rope and go sled. Can't wait to take it out to revy next week. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I should be able to answer most of them

So curious...I am looking to put a BB kit on my 11. How much is the Carl's and why did you go with it versus some of the others?

Pull out the tow rope and go!

Around 6000$ for a complete set up. That's with intake pipe power commander clutching etc. I went with them because they've ran it the most. And their reputation. Jacks been building top notch motors forever.

$6000 is pretty reasonable IMHO. If that 900 is anything like carls old 910's it will be an absolute monster, combine that with the pro chassie and you just might have the perfect sled, again, only my opinion. I'd love to give one of Brad's 1150's a try also, I can't imagine what that would pull like. If you dial in a BB there is no reason they can't be pull and ride engines, in fact if they aren't then they probably aren't set up right. I'll take a BB over a hairdryer anytime, I think hairdryers sound like s***, they are finnicky and like it or not they are not as abrupt as a normally aspirated engine. I'm not trying to p*** in anyones cornflakes here, I know there is a ton of turbos out there and alot of guys have the exact opposite opinion from me. Build what you like and have fun, don't worry about what some guy on the internet says.

They are in that 180-190 range. I did a BB for a few reasons I ride trees where huge top end power is not needed and throttle response is. No one quite has the turbo thing figured out either. And I have a three inch track so I think I'll surprise some of those turbo guys running 10 pounds

Assault, im glad to hear you have had yours out, mine is in the case porting stage now!! I rode the 900 last yr. sevral times and knew I had to have one in the 13. Did you have Carl's install yours or did you do the work. I have them take care of all the work from tear down to tune.

I have rode carls BB in my sleds for several yrs now, there is no toe rope!! one of the best Gas and go motors out there.

Jacks new 900 will eat his old 910, IMO. but then agian the stroke is way shorter in the 900. So your not really comparing the same motor. I think the 910 may of had a taller top end, of course with the longer strock it did not have the low end. The new 900 cylinder walls are thicker than the 910. to help with the heat..

They build the motor for me because I got a new crank and case so I could just take my stock motor out and sell it. And the crank was due to be changed, 3500 miles. I did the tear down and assembly myself as I live like 16 hours away from Boise haha. One thing they do that surprised me was they tell you to get rid of the thermostat. I guess just to limit the cold shock. And Chris has been awesome to deal with

Ya the thermostat, goes out the window. Ends all over heating problems in the spring. My 12 was that way.
16 hrs, ya a little hard to run it over to them. lol I have to have them do the work, Im not a very good wrench turnner!! Im not even sure where the spark plugs are LOL.. Carl's is top notch!!
Its always fun to talk to chris, in the performance shop. He always is a big help, no matter what you need.

My son rides my old 860 it has 3200 on it. Its due this yr to have a freshen up.
I can't wait to get mine on the snow this yr. so enjoyed the 900 last yr. Oh goose bumps!! LOL Enjoy brother, throw so pic's of you and the 9 in revy. Enjoy!

Anyone know if you can put pictures on with a mobile phone? I only know how to do it on the computer
