Carl's 900 is running awesome

Carl's flashes the ecu so it's almost like having the vipec. I really don't think there's to much to be gained unless you run it way on the lean side, but then you lose reliability and I'm not going to be left stranded on the mountain. They have this sled dialed. And there is no need to spend 2500$ on a stand alone ecu. Take one for a ride, you'll be impressed

When the turbo guys are changing exhaust doughnuts or reeds in the trailer or on the hill, you are busy booning in the trees or carving circles around them with more bottom end and torque than them. LOL.

Yup that's my concern too, I am an experienced rider and know fully that the stock 800 is not enough power for me, coming of an 1100t for two years I am looking forward to light weight but want power and reliability.

A good rider can push a stock sled further than an average sledder can push a turbo. I can ride a stock sled to more places than a lot of people can take their turbos

But a good rider can take a turbo even further...

Also for some people it's not about going higher or further. I have yet to go anywhere on my turbo I couldn't go stock. For some people it's about being able to take the craziest line available with the skis 3' in the air, on the ragged edge of control. I don't ride to "get" somewhere, I ride to have fun and that's what's fun to me.

On a slightly more related topic: are their any Carl's 900's running in AK? And if so how was the tuning for our lower than sealevel air density? I'm curious if the pc5 can adjust that much out or if people are having to re-map them.

There is a few running in ak I believe. And the ecu will calibrate for air changes, you won't need to re map. Give Chris a call at Carl's cycle he'll answer all your questions
